Twosday Asiatic lilies.
Last yr this plant had flowers with 2 different colors- creamy yellow and salmon pink. I planted it in a huge pot but dug it out in fall. Hope, I replanted it somewhere. Gotta look at my storage stash again.

It sucks that I didn't even have a chance to take pictures of the open blooms this morning, because a pregnant doe decided the yard was an all-you-can-eat buffet!

A close-up of a dusky magenta Asiatic lily in our yard. The interior portion of the petals changes from the above color to an orange-yellow. The petals have variously white or darker magenta veins. The stamens start in the interior with close to white filaments, then become dark red before ending in a yellow anther. The pistil is that same almost-white color, and keeps that color all the way to the end, which projects out farther than the stamens. Behind the bloom are leaves from the lilies & other plants. Parts of the ground & some wooden stairs are out of focus in the far background at top.
