An asteroid moth caterpillar (also known as the goldenrod hooded owlet moth) moving through goldenrod flowers. It is in the middle of the photo, curving from right to center and a little beyond. It is surrounded by yellow goldenrod flowers. The caterpillar is a light green. It has a thick yellow strip down its body surrounded by a black stripe on both sides. On the inside of the black stripes there are green stripes. There are also thin black stripes on its sides.
