Gorgeous Mozart comic opera, perhaps the most ravishing music of any; very misogynistic plot but when handled with care & aplomb the whole thing sings. #Athenaeum Footloose. Musical version of a film I’ve never seen, is so lacklustre that I really don’t want to see the film. The only times it comes to life are when Maverick Newman is on stage, his two feature songs really lifting the bar.
