Finished second attempt at the rough draft to HermitageWIP! Updated it to shoehorn necessary elements into it, analyzed the overall outline and how it plays to set up a proper first editing run. Real progress!

In Ungovernables book 2, Jamie's goals change. He starts seeing cracks in the Protectorate he so blindly believed in.
He starts questioning things and what his next steps will be.

Rylen struggles to forgive himself for his mother's death. He recognizes (as an adult) he wasn't directly responsible, but he still feels indirectly responsible.
Therapy has helped him process the grief and anger, but he isn't ready to forgive.

In an attempted first draft, I wrote a nearly 5k word scene of Bayle giving Nora a full-ass tour of the ENTIRE Hermitage (an 80 room manor-house).
I knew I wasn’t going to include the whole thing, but I wanted to get his perspective on the setting for my own sake.

I'm currently editing out a tea party scene, the scene will still happen to a lesser extent, but it was 10 pages long and I fear a tad boring.

I am thinking about “Mr Rabbit Goes to the Moon”, the name of a thematically important myth told in the text.
