Visibility improving in River Lark (10.6°C) at #BartonMills, but lake-like silty stretch downstream of A11 seems fishless. In contrast, tunnel it zooms thro' under A11 packed with big (30cm) Chub! Also Roach & oxygen-junky Minnows in breeding condition. #Chalkstreams #Suffolk 2/5
Although a cold day & Cut-off Channel (11.7°C) lacking fish, wonderful as ever to be in the water, the mounds of blackthorn blossom mirroring the clouds, the gorse in bloom, and a pair of Mute Swans on patrol.

Thrilled to see an Eel in the #RiverLark at Barton Mills just downstream of the A11. Only got a record shot of its tail as it disappeared under a log. Three small & one medium size Pike were more obliging.
