A large conifer tree rises out of a neighbouring garden and the top of our wood fence is just visible, all blurred out. Yesterday’s heavy rains seems to have brought our bee population out in force today, maybe making up for lost time. The garden is again abuzz with late activity before all the blossoms fall.

I know that the Bee Lady aka @soph0517.bsky.social is feeling bereft of buzzers now, so, as we still have them aplenty, I shall contribute one a day this week. Hard to choose today but I like this one for the shadow it is casting on the petal …

Nahaufnahme von Erdhummel, sie liegt auf einem Blütenblatt eines Sonnenhuts

Noch eine Erdhummel mit Sonnenhut. Diese hält sich unterhalb des Körbchens am Stengel fest und hat so einen Regenschirm gefunden. Aufnahme von schräg unten (da man sonst wegen der Blütenblätter die Hummel kaum sehen würde)

Vielleicht kann noch jemand etwas buntes im der Timeline vertragen?
