This week's Wednesday webcam comes to us from the Central Highlands of Arizona. When we tuned in at 1 PM Mountain Time, we got a good look at a Bridled Titmouse hopping from feeder to feeder. This cam is pretty quiet, but you can hear plenty of birds in the area.

A Great Blue Heron stands on a cement fixture (possibly a fountain) surrounded by water. As its name implies, the Great Blue Heron is a blueish-gray in color, with some dark spots near its wings, where its legs meet its torso, and on the crown of its head. The Heron also has a white bib beneath its lower jaw. Its beak is dark on top and yellowish on the bottom. This Great Blue Heron is getting a drink (or maybe just washing up), and an arc of water droplets fall from its beak back towards the pool of water. In the background of the photo there appear to be two red dragonflies.

A snowy egret, more grayish than snowy, wades through water. Most distinctly, it has some ruffled plumes towards the posterior of its body. It's wings are not quite folded down, but definitely not opened. It's beak is long, straight, and black in color, with a splash of yellow on the top on the bill right where it connects to its face. Its eyes are the same shade of deep yellow. The egret's reflection can be seen in the water.
