Watched a walkthrough of #robocoproguecityunfinishedbusiness It's definitely a continuation to the Rouge City game, but this one looked more like a DLC than a proper sequel. But it's actually a really well made DLC, it's not short like most DLC's are & the running time is almost as long as the Rouge City game. I know Judge Dredd was one of the inspirations for RoboCop, but this one felt like it could have been a Judge Dredd game instead, the setting really made me think of the Karl Urban Dredd movie. It's a good continuation to Rouge City, but I prefer the original game. Rewatched a walkthrough of #scarfacetheworldisyours I've actually played this game but I didn't get far. Need to replay this game again. This one is a so called What If? sequel - What If Scarface didn't end like it originally did? Al Pacino sadly doesn't voice Tony Montana in the game because both he & the game developers thought his voice was too old for the character now, but Pacino handpicked the new voice actor for Montana, which is André Sogliuzzo. And Sogliuzzo does a really good Montana impression & voice! 👍 Both Steven Bauer & Robert Loggia from the movie voices in the game too, except Loggia voices as a narrator & Bauer voices a new character called The Sandman. I just found out that a game sequel was planned, but it got cancelled. The faux trailer was awesome & by far the best thing Roth had made as a director & for years afterwards I was hoping for it to become a real full length movie. And when we did finally get a real full length movie, I was kinda disappointed. I say kinda cause it's still a rated-R movie with gore & the movie overall is okay, but this was no longer a 70's-80's esque exploitation horror movie, it was now more like a modern day Scream movie! And the movie feels very tame in comparison to the fake trailer! Sure you can argue that If Roth had made the movie like the fake trailer it would have been NC-17 & not being able to be shown in movie theaters, but I still want that exploitation version of Thanksgiving movie god dammit! So instead we got "Jason vs. Carrie-knockoff" & when New Line bought the rights to Jason Voorhees (but couldn't buy "Friday the 13th" name for some reason), they planted the seed for a Freddy vs. Jason movie at the end of Friday the 13th part 9... And the screenplay for it was in development hell for 9-10 years & when they finally released it, the movie was overall average, it was okay. Some kills where pretty good & the best parts & the highlights of the movie is when Freddy fights Jason! The movie had different endings, one of them would have included Pinhead from Hellraiser stopping a fight between Freddy & Jason asking them "What seems to be the problem?" That ending I would have loved, but they didn't do it because Pinhead & Hellraiser was owned by a different company... A sequel was planned, but it got cancelled & instead got turned into a comicbook miniseries - Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash (as in Ash Williams from Evil Dead!) "Your Sister.." sounds like a Goosebumps book for crying out loud! 😂😜 The 1st Howling movie is a good movie & one of the best movies in the #werewolf genre, while the sequels (and a reboot?) where not, especially this one. But this is a so bad it's good type of movie you would watch with friends on a Bad Movie Night, and the gore effects wasn't that bad. The Howling is based on a book & it also got sequels as well, yet this movie is not based on the 2nd book & the author did actually do the screenplay on this movie at first, but then quit & it was rewritten by another person, using a different script that took out vampires & replaced with werewolves instead (which you can obviously tell!) A literal pile of poo that sings as a video game boss, seeing Banjo from Banjo-Kazooie as a head taxidermy, that Nintendo was actually okay with releasing a raunchy, adult themed game which they normally would never do, & that they where actually able to fill a whole dialogue in a Nintendo 64 cartridge! To my knowledge, Conker & Resident Evil 2 are the only two N64 games to have a whole dialogue, which was a technical miracle to be able to do that on a cartridge at the time, you could only do that on CD like the PlayStation & Sega Saturn. A sequel was planned but it got cancelled because at the time Rare was purchased by Microsoft & they wheren't interested, and that shows one of the reasons why Rare fell down when they where purchased by Microsoft! It did get a more serious toned, rated-R sequel with Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter in the role. And in the early 2000's it got another anime series, this time with 26 episodes, but I haven't seen that one. And you can tell considering how weirdly edited they are and one of the stories you can obviously tell was never finished because it doesn't even have an ending! The movie has a cheesy, but catchy theme song that plays all the time & obvious stop motion (claymation?) scenes, but I honestly prefer that over obvious CGI effects, it's more charming! #octoberhorrormoviechallenge #31horrorfilms31days 🎃 #day3 - #theprowler A pretty okay #80s #slasher movie & even though many of the kills in general are the same stab or slice from a bayonet knife, there are some different kills too & the gore effects are done by the master of gore effects & make-up himself, #tomsavini It was through this movie director #josephzito got the work in directing Friday the 13th part 4, which also had Savini doing the gore effects & make-up on that one as well (he previously did the effects & make-up in the 1st Friday the 13th movie) The only well known name in this movie is Lawrence Tierny (Reservoir Dogs & he played Elaine Benes's dad in Seinfeld), though it's only a small role so small that it's pretty much a cameo. I wonder If his role was originally bigger but was cut down because of Tierny's infamous erratic behaviour? It still got a sequel, but it was more of its own game, the only thing it shared with its predecessor was the name & the violence. And being a stealth game as well, If I remember right, but it didn't have the same appeal like the 1st game. Also, even If this game got a remaster it's not sure that it will look or play better either. Watched a #walkthrough of #robocoproguecity - The gameplay looks very fun & I like that in some side missions you actually get to do some detective work. I did notice a few small flaws - sometimes the mouth stops move when a character still have a few lines left & sometimes the subtitles doesn't match what a character is saying (it's either a glitch on the game or it's the editing on the actual video). Other than that, it's still a much, MUCH BETTER game than the RoboCop game from 2003 on original Xbox!
