It’s peak hibiscus flowering time here in the subtropics of Australia. The strange thing is the Camilias are flowering too.

A Viola bicolor plant with a single purple flower surrounded by several white clover plants. The leaves of the white clover grow in groups of three at the end of a green stem. The leaves are green, thin, and round with very slight serrations at the edge, and light green circular markings near where the leaves are attached to the stem. There's one white clover flower in full bloom in the picture and one other that is still immature. The flower of the white clover is a globular cluster of fragrant white tubular florets.
And here is another Viola bicolor growing in the middle of a bunch of white clover, one of which has sent up a flower of its own. Another tiny flower and a fragrant one too. #bloomscrooling

Beneath the surface of stillness, a current stirs. Not all awakenings come with thunder — some begin in quiet bloom. #FloralFriday #photography #bloomscrooling #FlowersOnFriday
The photo shows several dark blue flowers growing on a plant with pointed green leaves. The flowers are tubular in shape with serrated edges, and their interiors are streaked with darker lines.
Memories of autumn in the mountains. These Gentiana asclepiadea flowers were already almost finished blooming. They are typical, they don't grow anywhere at lower altitudes. When I see them on the way up the trail, I know I'm high enough. It's a sentimental […]

In the slightly enlarged photograph, there is a purple thistle flower almost in the center. It looks like a fluffy ball of thin, long purple petals. The background of the photograph is blurred green undergrowth.
I photographed a small thistle on my way to work. Sometimes I manage to take a photo while riding my bike. These are some of the last autumn flowers, and their color is amazing. This species is one of the most resilient plants here. Its roots can reach […]

Single calla lily
A single carnation flower fills the frame. Its petals are white with vivid red streaks along the edges and veins, creating a textured, almost painted appearance. The background is softly blurred, isolating the flower and drawing attention to its intricate structure and color gradation.
A compact floral arrangement anchors the frame ,clustered red and white carnations with serrated petals, each marked by crimson tips and soft ruffled folds. Near the center, a lone yellow tulip pushes upward, its smooth, cupped form in stark contrast to the carnation's textured anatomy. The background shifts in gradient from deep blue to violet, offering cool chromatic opposition to the bouquet’s warm palette. Green stems thread below, partially visible, grounding the flowers without overt framing.
The image centers a red-and-white carnation in full bloom. Its petals are edged and streaked with deep crimson, layered over a base of matte white. Each fold registers detail some curling inward, others flared wide evoking a structure of tension rather than softness. The background is a subdued olive green, blurred to focus attention solely on the flower’s texture and contrast. No stem, no setting just form and chromatic rupture.
Two partially opened carnations rest side by side, their white petals traced with sharp crimson along the edges and creases. The flowers float against a smooth, lilac-toned background that isolates their structure ,no stems, no shadow, just the suspended force of color and form. The petals appear almost sculpted, each red margin like a wound or record—precise, unsoftened.
Every part of this structure responds to forces older than interpretation.

My first morning glory bloom of the summer 😇 #bloomscrooling
A top-down view of a small plant growing on bare soil. The plant has a fractal shape with an overall circular shape made up of branching stalks radiating from the center which branch a few times before ending in rings of round nested leaves with flowers at their very center. The whole plant has a yellowish-green colour, but the outer leaves are most green and the inner flowers the most yellow.
With these Sun Spurges it's hard to tell where the leaves end and the flowers begin since it's all shades of yellowish green, but the unusual shapes always catch my eye! #Bloomscrooling

Close-up of blooming pansy flowers with soft white petals and bold purple centers. Some petals are edged in warm, earthy tones, hinting at seasonal change. The vibrant green foliage behind adds depth and contrast to the floral details."
Purple hydrangeas in full bloom clustered against a beige textured wall. The petals vary subtly in hue from lavender to periwinkle, framed by lush green leaves that catch soft natural light. The neutral backdrop enhances the vivid detail and organic shape of the flowers.
Close up of a light pink hibiscus flower with a vibrant red center and gently ruffled petals. Its green stem and foliage frame the blossom, while a second flower appears softly in the background. The darker backdrop draws focus to the delicate textures and natural symmetry of the bloom.
Close-up of pink lilies edged in pale white, with upright green stamens at the center. The petals are softly illuminated, and the shallow depth of field keeps the focus on their graceful shape against a muted background of leaves and fencing.
