[OT] Exported 25311 old tweets from Twitter/X into Bluesky, dated January 2006 through November 2022 (later posts as of September 2023 were mostly cross-posted anyway), using blueark.app #BlueArk

Has anyone used #BlueArk to bring their tweet history over? Is it worth it? 2009 to present but no RTs, quotes.

Yay I'm migrated from X!
Thanks @blueark.app !

I've been using #BlueArk to import my tweets. It's interesting when they get reposted. Luckily, most I'm still happy with; some sad, some informative, some clever. I trust that re-posters will notice the date so they don't think something has just happened that actually took place a few years ago!
A #BlueArk 🐦 >> 🦋 xfer app review from a Stan-Twitter fangirl.
Apologies for all the spam, #BlueSky friends! I just completed a BlueArk xfer of about 2 years of tweets. It cost me $10 & took less than 2 weeks. For a new app & platform I give it a 👍🏻. Pros/Cons: +
Guess I'll recommend #BlueArk nonetheless! Might be good to decide which years you might want to export in case you end up like me.
Verdict on #BlueArk: It was a very useful efficient way to export my tweets to #BlueSky. 1171/1808 tweets were exported-mostly original tweets. But guess what, all tweets from 2007-2019 were personal and private (yes, I'd joined twitter in my college days). I then painstakingly deleted them 😅
I'm thrilled #BlueArk is able to save them, though. I had more fun things to say and remember than I thought, and some great friends and times to recall. Now it'll be saved for future/memories. Reading back over my "Pay attention files" series alone (over the first four years of 45) was educative.
Okay guys, my old tweets from Twitter/X are migrating over with the help of #BlueArk! Tweets going back to 2009!! So, some of these posts or butterflies/clouds (what are we calling posts here??) may seem wacky if the date i posted isn’t noted next to the post. Just roll with it..
Kept my account on Twitter because I didn't want to loose all my tweets. Will try @en.blueark.app to transfer my tweets. If that works, I can delete my account there permanently.
Any good tools to transfer the people you follow?

I don’t like waiting, but for this? I’d gladly make an exception. I want to save all the shit I’ve been talking about, just in case I ever decide to nuke this. That includes the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Für 27,50 kann ich Donald trump seine Tweets importieren.
Ich importiere dann mal ein paar Tweets. #blueark.
This is one of the things I was really hoping the #BlueArk port of my twitter history would find. I couldn’t find it anymore and wanted to remember it and share it again. Now having to manually delete the junk - but the fun stuff made it worth it. ❤️
I used #BlueArk to transfer my tweets to bsky. I paid $5.80 and it took 2 days. I had used a third-party to auto-delete my tweets over time anyway, so there weren't that many left...but I liked the idea of trying this to see how it would work. It worked, but not for everything.

Finally got my #BlueArk import running after a few days of preparation and it is WEIRD to see all that history disconnected from the source. It's like looking at ancient forum posts from a completely different person.
And #BlueArk also saved my video of a menat (ancient Egyptian percussion instrument that’s also jewelry!) and what it sounds like.
Aw, looks like #BlueArk is saving some of my birdsite posts about Zigzag, my last cat (Walked on in 2021) and his Portland adventures ❤️ it’s nice to see *good* memories…
Another problem is that image Alt Text is not transferred during import. #accessibility #AltText #BlueArk
I am about to try the app that ports everything from the bird site here and I apologize in advance if it does something funky to your notifications (but hopefully someone thought about that when they coded it?) #blueark
Has anyone done this? Kinda interested to see how it looks / whether it's worth it? #BlueArk
(Have been putting off deleting my Twitter account. But now I see I can transfer it - wondering if starting with a clean slate might be preferable after all?)
1) this is a cool idea
2) it's seriously clogging some feeds! Would be ideal if it appended something like #blueark to allow feeds to filter it. Otherwise maybe add the nofeed hashtag to your bio while importing
I wonder if I should use BlueArk to import all my tweets to BlueSky.
I was a small account (had 215 followers), and my tweets were usually ignored (what can I say? I'm boring), but I hate to lose it all. It's less than $10, but do I need all these tweets here? 🤔

1. #Blueark seems like an opportunity to study *actual* willingness to pay to leave a social media platform. (I'd be surprised willingness to leave each major platform was equivalent.)
2. I expect Twitter/Elon to block this kind of use of its API soon.
3. Thanks for sharing your results!
