The Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima, Japan was nearly directly under the atomic bomb that exploded at 8:15 am, August 6, 1945. The remains of the building are still standing in the city center next to the Peace Memorial Park & Museum.

One of the most impressive places I have ever visited, #Hiroshima in #Japan, where humanity once thought it necessary to drop the first atomic bomb. Images of The #AtomicDome and the #PeaceMemorialMuseum are etched in my mind.
