Photo taken from an elevated perspective: Grey stone building (stepped platform) with numerous columns all around it. There is a green "lawn" in front of it and a jungle behind that stretches to the horizon. In the foreground one can see relief carvings on a wall at the top of the pyramid; the carvings are in shadow and have a patina that make it difficult to discern the design in this photo. Temple of the Warriors description from mayanpeninsula.com: This building is composed of a square base that measures about 40 m per side. It has stepped bodies composed of slope and board-cornice decorated with bas-reliefs in which warriors, eagles, and jaguars are seen devouring human hearts. The stairway faces the west and has reliefs of feathered serpents whose heads protrude. There is a square-shaped temple on the base, 21 m per side, leaving a wide platform in front with pilasters decorated with figures of gods and warriors that used to support roof beams.

View of the Temple of the Warriors from the top of the pyramid (El Castillo) at the Chichén Itzá site in Mexico from back in 2004.
I think they stopped letting people climb the pyramid a few years later.
