Trust me to choose a 'simple' dress as a quick project but it has 12+3 pattern pieces, lining, and outer layer fully interfaced. Chose armo weft for the full interfacing as it preserves the drape of the linen, and stiffer interfacing for the neck and shoulder structure

Very high tech paper and tape to transfer mockup changes, but I forgot to add extra seam allowance to the side seams for future size changes! Gonna try to sew the sidefront and sideback seams with a bit less allowance and shift that extra to the sides

Mockup assembled! I took in the waist before sewing the skirt side petal pieces and thought I'd have to resize them but the waist reduction was small enough that it somehow worked out just by easing. Hopefully it'll also work out on the final 🤞

For my mockup I'm assembling in a different order than the pattern instructions so the centre front, centre back, and side seams are continuous and I can make fit adjustments more easily

Reference art i painted of the girl from angel's egg. i took my favorite parts of each amano concept art and merged it into a single reference. She looks like a depressed clown; she has white scraggly hair, a striped purple and pink dress, puffy patchwork-jester sleeves, and lots of beaded jewelry.
