This remarkably peaceful revolution, which unfolded 51 years ago, successfully overthrew the authoritarian Estado Novo regime. Now commemorated as Dia da Liberdade (Freedom Day), April 25th is a national public holiday in Portugal, filled with vibrant celebrations across the country. We extend our warmest wishes to all our Portuguese friends on this significant day. Thinking back, just three years ago, @Suzy Starlite and I had the distinct honour of performing at the celebratory concert held in the main square of Samora Correia, our hometown at the time. It was a truly special experience to be part of such a meaningful commemoration. Today's anniversary serves as a powerful reminder to all of us about the incredible strength and impact of collective action in the face of an authoritarian regime. The Carnation Revolution stands as an inspiring example of how a determined populace can bring about profound change through peaceful means.
