A spectacular large aloe in full bloom. One of the few aloes with red flowers I've ever seen. I couldn't find the name since Ruth Bancroft banned ID tags in perpetuity.

A beautiful sunset aeonium. The two flowering rosettes (left and right side of photo) mean the end for them, but the smaller pups ensure the plant will survive.

A 10 ft. flower stalk emerging from an agave looks otherworldly in bright sunlight. It is about 6-8 inches wide and has a shiny dark brown outer skin. There are several stem sections with unfurling leaves and smaller flower stalks.

A large mature agave (possibly sp. potatorum) set in a lush dry garden. It's in dappled sunlight with a large inflorescence growing straight up from the center. Agaves are monocarpic and die after this single, extended flowering process is completed.
