A damselfly on a twig.
An absolute horror show of a jellyfish of some kind on the beach in Lunenburg. It looks like it has either ingested or is growing three separate yellow-colored brains inside its gelatinous, blood-coloured mass.
We spotted this little Eastern Painted turtle. which is sitting in long grass on a lichen-covered sandy area next to a a marsh behind the ocean beach near our cottage. Pictures taken at a distance with a long-zoom lens. We checked back the next morning and it had wandered off, likely back to the marsh itself.
