31. Monthly wrap-up: This is one of those months where I feel I’ve gotten nowhere whatsoever. All I can say is I’ve persevered.

Monthly Wrap-up: July ended up being better than expected. Not only did I make it through the first two scenes of my “Dusk and Dawn at Laufenden” rewrite but I also wrote two new drabbles, “A Mouthful of Water” and “Shiver”.

Aaaand that was July. 😁

Beyond the Humming Downs is launched, tralalala. (Well, the ebook, anyway.) It was a modest launch, it must be said. But it happened — and that’s something to celebrate.

Monthly WIP Wrap-up:

After a very slow start to the month, I ended up writing 60,719 words for Agent of the Wild, plus whatever I add this afternoon/evening.

At 98k words, we're now over halfway done, with not a lot of time left to finish. 😅

31. Finished the 1st draft of Requiemed (Book #3 in the Rest in Grift series) 7/7 (131K), and today finished the 2nd editing pass (107K). Ready to let it rest and re-edit Books #1 & #2, now knowing all the details of Book #3.

Day 31 - To wrap up this month, I barely got anything done due to trying to make my new living space livable and because I suck. Hooray!

This month consisted mostly of worldbuilding. I figured out a lot about when and where the story takes place. I am so excited to use that knowledge as I go back to composing the story itself.

In June I had a huge boost of writing productivity, but it came at the expense of a lot of life stuff. In July I've had to pull back, but I'm still making progress and feeling motivated! The end of this draft is in sight, and then the real work can start.

I've had 23 downloads of freebies this month and zero sales. I did finish the re-edit of MANIFESTING DESTINY; it's being formatted now for Nov 1 re-release. I got called back after auditioning for a local play (callback is Sat., so we'll see).

Not as productive a month as I would have liked, but I’m making progress on my WIPs and editing for Ballad’s End. Hoping to make some sales in August before my birthday sweeps in at the start of September!
