I've been looking up birdcalls to help me figure out what harpy speech and names might sound like. The non-harpy characters can't pronounce her name with their merely human throats, but she's happy to let them come close enough by calling her Chihoo.

31: Current research

Last topics were: clubfoot (for a potential character in the new WIP), tarot, and I also brushed up on Greek mythology. Right now nothing, because I started editing another WIP

Day 31 Research

The series is technically done, so no research currently. When I was in the thick of it though, my research included theoretical weaponry, black holes, religion, military tactics, terror cells, court processes, constitutional law, and even ancient Rome.

Not actively worldbuilding at the moment, so 🤷‍♀️ unless you count the town that "Son of Embers" takes place in, but it's already mostly built.

Right now I’m mostly researching names as I try to build up a cast for both Lowborn King & Rising Winds.

Also researching some military tactics and historical facts to build on the lore of the other continents, especially Feswili.
