For #WorldWetlandsDay I give you @RSPBLakenheath Fen, our local wetland. Watching the sublime #FenlandSunset over Joist Fen, as the water rails shriek, reedbed as far as the eye can see, it is a marvel that only 35 years ago this 400 ha wetland paradise was arable farmland.

Wangford Warren an exquisite Breckland site carpeted with silvery Reindeer Lichen (Cladonia rangiformis), rotavation revealing pure sand, but walk a short distance west and you are in the Fens.
