It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Inky in color with a short purple rim.

Strong nose of black fruits with chocolate notes, cedar, vanilla and cola.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, cedar, tobacco, vanilla, licorice, cola, coffee, black pepper, dried figs, graphite, light earth, herbs and spices.

Long spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This 6 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville is drinking beautifully now. Big and bold. Rich and extracted.

Well balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Fruit forward and elegant, with great complexity, especially on the palate.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

I've had a few vintages of this wine and it always delivers. This 2019 vintage is drinking much better now than it was two years ago. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Wine Spectator 93 points. Robert Parker 93 points.

A good sipping wine that will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$125.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, cedar, licorice, light vanilla, diet coke, dark chocolates, light earth, tobacco leaf, herbs, light spices, black pepper.

Full-bodied and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with black currants, black plums, stewed cherries, chocolates, cedar, coffee, tobacco, cola, light earth, herbs, peppercorn, licorice and green tea.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Mount Veeder. Elegant and robust. Spicy and entertaining.

Well balanced with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Rich and extracted. The high alcohol is well integrated by now.

Good right out of the bottle, and much better after 2 hours in the decanter.

This 5 year old will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years, with good potential to become a 94 point wine.

Easy drinking and very tasty. Loved the complexity on the nose and kept smelling on it.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Zinfandel, 7.5% Petit Verdot and 7.5% Cabernet Franc. Aged in (33% new) French Oak barrels for 20 months.
