Another fungus which can be found even in winter on rotting wood is the Jellydisc. Most common is the Purple Jellydisc , Ascocoryne sarcoides, but the Budding Jellydisc , Ascocoryne cylichnium, is difficult to be told apart from it.

Another Slime mold we found looks like small orange droplets or salmon eggs , it's possibly Trichia decipiens.

When ppl hear about slime mold they usually think 'Ewww!' But once you look up close at them they have some amazing structures and colours. This one looks a bit like caviar. Possibly Metatrichia floriformis.

Not a very common waxcap but we got quite a few on a campsite here: the Slimy Waxcap,Gliophorus irrigatus.The slimy cap+stem of this meadow mushroom + its brownish colour make it 1 of the very few waxcaps that are easy to identify. #FungiFriendsUK , #FungiFriends , #FungiUK , #MushroomsUK , #Fungi
First thought these are a type of puffball but found out they are Winter stalkballs,Tulostoma brumale. They are an autumn/winter species found among moss or short grass mainly on sandy, alkaline soil, often around coastal/dune areas.
