Drawing Cenozoic animals until January 31st or I miss a day

Day 1: Gastornis gigantea

While it's likely herbivorous, doesn't outright mean it's aggressive

A couple of Gastornis (large flightless birds) are sitting in a sleigh in the middle of a snowy meadow. The sleigh is hooked up to a single Eohippus (a small prehistoric horse), who tries to pull the sleigh to no avail. As the little horse struggles, the male Gastornis looks rather worried while his (now very annoyed) girlfriend sits and waits impatiently.

Riding in a One-Horse Open Sleigh isn't all it's cracked up to be (especially not in the Eocene Epoch, where the horses are the size of dogs!)

Big bird. Not much else to say, but it's nice that at least something from this famous genus is available. Do people still mistake Gastornis (syn. Diatryma) for a terror bird?
