Has anyone had any luck finding either Mayan Gold or any Phureja seed potatoes? The one place I could find won't have any in stock until the end of the year and everywhere else is out of stock or not selling them this year. #UK #GrowingVeg #Potatoes
My first ever harvest of potatoes- modest yet exciting! I planted 4 potatoes that had grown shoots in my veg cupboard into a bag of left over compost! #gardening #garden #growingveg #growyourown
Very excited!
My balcony garden is walloping away π
I got mini cucumbers! At least 18 of them!
And 2 small green toms with lots more flowers π

Just got back from a fascinating Waterstones talk by Gaz Oakley, a chef who abandoned city life to obsessively grow vegetables and herbs on a plot near Abergavenny. He's a really inspirational speaker and it was a perfect #SolarpunkSunday event!
I am now keen to add Lemon Balm and Yarrow plants [β¦]
Cauliflowers the size of my face at Sparsholt today! So proud of growing these from seed!!! Crop house conditions definitely help! The ones in my garden are much smaller. #growingveg #sparsholtcollege #horticulture

Sorted a new patch, no dig and fresh compost. Planted cabbage, cauliflower and cucumbers. #GrowingVeg #Allotment #GrowYourOwn

Choose an allotment. Choose bindweed, nettles and broken glass. Choose a cheap polytunnel that blows away before you can use it. Choose raised beds, choose no dig, choose growing pathetic amounts whatever you do. Choose peace and fresh air. Choose an allotment.
Last year I moved house and didnβt manage to get a greenhouse up in time, I had 1 outdoor plant but I did miss having loads! β¦organic ones like I grew cost me Β£3.50 each so this year Iβm going to appreciate them all the more.

A vegetable plot with squash plants, onions, carrots (too small to see yet), and potatoes.
A veg plot with lettuces, radishes, and Jerusalem artichokes. The lettuces and radishes were planted/sown a few weeks ago and are getting to a reasonable size. The Jerusalem artichokes have been growing for a couple of months now and are about a metre tall.
A veg patch - it doesn't look like there's much on it, but there are some tomato plants, some squash plants, and we've sown chard and beetroot. there are also pots with chillies and basil around the edges, some potatoes growing in a container, lots of poppy plants and a sunflower (none of which are yet flowering), and a plastic greenhouse at the back of the plot (there are more chillies and peppers in there).
A veg plot with squash, courgette, and tomato plants. There are also some tiny cabbages and kale plants at the far end of the plot (not really visible in the photo), and we've sown green beans, borlotti beans, and beetroot. there is also a huge rhubarb plant just next to the plot.
Well, after weeks and weeks where it seemed we'd never get two dry days in a row, we've finally got everything planted/sown in the ground or in pots. Latest we've ever done it. Now just need to wait for things to grow and provide us with tasty food. #gardening #GrowingVeg
