Even though we can directly photograph exoplanets now, they're too dim and far away to be seen as anything other than blurry, blocky dots. Hopefully, the #HabitableWorldsObservatory will change that. Unfortunately, the HWO isn't scheduled to launch until the 2040s, so we've got a while to wait.
