February 1st is St. Brigid's Day. It's also the Celtic festival of Imbolc.
In the fist picture below the Irish artist Harry Clarke has rendered St. Brigid in stain glass.

One of my favourite #HarryClarke St #Brigids. Although apparently he did only design and not execute this one, albeit I think it certainly looks distinctively Clarke-ish! In St Michael and St John’s Church in Cloughjordan, Co Tipperary.

Today is the Eve of St Agnes 💙

How better to celebrate than revisiting one of Harry Clarke’s strikingly blue watercolour studies that he made in preparation for his The Eve of St. Agnes Window (1924), inspired by John Keats’ poem.

Harry Clarke's Stained Glass - a master's work revisited Curator and historian Michael Waldron celebrates the work of stained glass artist Harry Clarke, the subject of a new exhibition at the National Museum of Ireland.

#HarryClarke died #onthisday in 1931.

For the day that’s in it, here’s a piece I wrote for @rte.ie last year to mark the historic loan of three stained-glass panels from @crawfordartgallery.bsky.social to @nmireland.bsky.social. The exhibition is free to visit!

‘‘How is your trade, Aquarius, / This frosty night?’

Today is the anniversary of #HarryClarke, born in 1889. In this work from 1920, Clarke depicts the astrological sign Aquarius, inspired by Robert Grave’s poem ‘Star-Talk’. Clarke died aged 41 from tuberculosis.

A close up photo of a forearm, with a freshly done tattoo along the arm, above the wrist. The tattoo is compiled of parts of two drawings by the artist Harry Clarke, and is of a fancy-ruffle-cuffed, delicate hand holding an inverted ornate and slender torch, with the upside down flame curling around and back upwards. The tattoo is about 3.5" long.

OP standing in front of a bathroom mirror, with her left hand on her hip, showing the placement of a new tattoo on her forearm. She is wearing an altered Taskmaster shirt, has black framed cat-eye glasses, and dark blue-tinted hair. She looks cooler than she actually is, to be honest. 🥴

A photo of the forearms of twins* bearing multiple tattoos, two of which are fresh and almost identical. Only the flame on the torches differs.

*Triplets, but only two are in the photo so it seems weird to say triplets? 🤷‍♀️
