My fingertips converse with the trees In the language of ancient songs Wisdom woven inside with light Some myths linger in the bones Skin covered with moss Dewy droplets tingling over my ribs Like a soft spoken breeze Touching parts of my divine fire Spine pressed against the bark The oak knows the truth That it grew mighty from a small acorn Heartsong branching out through the sternum Inner kingdom of thoughts and feelings ablaze Intangible universe within a magnet Pulling pieces of my soul shattered in the ethereal space Every storm a contraction birthing a new horizon

I shall fill pauses of my life with softness To ground my being into the body To hold the courage of a fragile soul in the tender palms of authenticity I smash the heavy doors and undress the coat of thoughts not mine and let the heart speak Through every mist, storm, shaking ground The girl inside turned to the freeing sense of creativity Building something out of nothing, sewing innate parts back together With a pen rewriting stories, seeing everything with broader eyes I appreciate now her stubborn heart And I'm learning to love the process of rearranging paths

Whispers of my childhood reveries Sneak into my mind, like a lost sunray Piercing through time, reminding me Of the debris still left inside The emotional blueprint we leave on memories Is not written in stone, but can be molded like soil The only thing that we get to carry with us When we finally go I step into my ancestry lineage And try to articulate the unsaid My hands submersed in the lost art How much is the heart even worth?
