A large, yellow butterfly with black stripes sits on the leaves of a rose bush. At the end of the winds there are blue and orange spots.
This Western Tiger Swallowtail was dancing through the yard today. This beautiful specimen had about a 4" wingspan - shockingly large compared to our "resident" Gulf Fritillaries. Happy to see more species of insects in the yard, leaving the leaves always helps! #garden #insect #butterfly
