Glass Mason jars for sweat curing after that, and then a slow curing in glass. Takes about 4 months for a premium cure, and the tastiest smoke possible. This naturally comfortable bench was created by a bolt of Lightning⚡ striking this decaying ol' Sycamore tree decades ago. A big jagged rip down the trunk and the base of the tree exploded, falling the trunk where it still lies today. It's a great spot. Quiet but for the bird's. There's a big smooth spot that my butt has worn into this bench over years. The cleared spot at my feet is where Sonya has made her place, to lay out my feet. Any breeze generally comes out of the southwest so right into my face and I can scent everything on that gentle wind 🌬️
This is the view in front of my eyes 👀 when I'm chilling out on the Sycamore bench. Out and over the corner of a small pond and into the Cottonwoods and Willows that grow along the Uncompaghre River just beyond. There's Soo many birds. Bats at night. Squadrons of Mosquitoes and every kind of Life common to southwest riparian habitat. Got a Pair of Great Horned that rule the night, and I hear them every night too... The worlds biggest symphony orchestra of Cricket's and it's just about time for the Spring peepers and Leopard frogs to join in. Foxes caterwauling off in the distance. Oh my goodness but you wouldn't believe how peaceful and deep the sleep is in these parts of the West. This bench recharges my soul every time I rest my bones upon it 🙏🌈🧬💞

Delta Colorado is somewhat well known for the many beautifully painted Murals of the local life n' times. Agriculture is still going strong around here. We have the greatest Apple's and "Stoned fruits" such as Peach 🍑 Plums Cherrys n' Apricots. As long as farmers can get enough water to irrigate, there's plenty of local produce to enjoy
Apples Peaches Pears and Cherrys end up in Jellys, Juice and Cider. Apple-Cherry Hard Cider is a wonderful thing 🥰

Even the Ute's, who were the First Native Americans in this area, and live all over the Western Slope of these Colorado RockyMountains. I've seen a friend of mine, happens to be a proud Southern Ute tribe member, just shaking his head and laughing at this mural. We was walking to the Coffee ☕ shop a block past this place...
