a tiger sitting on its hindlegs, and looking towards the photographer, on our right and ahead of the tiger was the herd of deer which was grazing for quite some time. The tigeress is in middle of grass and there are tall bushes and brambles behind her.

We came across Raa (Tigress) early in the morning sitting in a grass field. About 40-50ft ahead of her was a herd of spotted deer.

We got to see her try to stalk the prey, but she was seen by the herd - which foiled the hunt.

As we entered the jungle at 5:30am, one of the most interesting thing was to see a male peafowl, atop a very tall (and bare tree) - a little too early to get too much details of the feathers.

Another one of my #lifer that I've been wanting to see in the wild and photograph is the Stork-billed Kingfisher.

(This trip alone I got to see all 4 species that I've observed till now, I just wish Pied and SB were much closer!)

This trip was the first time I got to see a Pied Hornbill - they are gorgeous and majestic!

a large bird, looking towards the photographer with a frog in its beak - the belly is towards the photographer - and the head towards the stork. the frog is caught across the neck, and two of its hind legs are dangling. the bird is large with black wings, and grey belly, it has a white head, with tuft of hair (resembling some evil mad scientist) - blue eyes and pale coloured beak. there is green grass all around it, and near its leg you can see soil where it has dug to find the frog.

While we were trying to track tigers, we came across a Lesser Adjutant Stork, that was digging in the wet grass. We decided to stay around and photograph it. We didn't expect it to find a frog/toad for meal. It was a fascinating experience to see it hunt.
