Today marks 36 years since the #IsabellaStewartGardner Museum robbery. This has become something of a side obsession for me; not one of the stolen pieces has been recovered and I would love to see all of them back where they belong. #Art #theft

A great source of pride for Isabella Stewart Gardner was the Botticelli she acquired in 1894. It was painted for palacial decoration in connection with a wedding, thus Gardner displayed a wedding chest beneath it.

I fell in love with Bunkers work while at the #IsabellaStewartGardner museum. ISG befriended so many artists of the day, and Bunker was something special bringing French impressionist vibes to the US during somewhat of a renaissance. This piece is on display at MFA Boston. #art #arthistory #MFA

Something I want to know so badly but I cannot find any information on is this amphora, laying in the ground cover in the courtyard of the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum. Please someone tell me why it’s there #art #arthistory #gallery #sculpure #curation #collection #amphora #IsabellaStewartGardner

These frames are still waiting for their masterpieces to be returned.
Missing since March 18 1990, thirteen pieces were stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum.
This frame once held a Rembrandt. Hopefully it will again soon. #art #arthistory #theft #heist #gallery #IsabellaStewartGardner

Some would argue this is a foot. I don’t think it’s any more than nine inches tbh. #art #sculpture #IsabellaStewartGardner

I love a good art heist book. What’s your favorite?

Last days in Boston for #NCSS24 Checked out the #BostonPublicLibrary & Map collection. I found the original map used on #STAAR. I will continue to show it as an example of thinking critically. #MITMueseum and the #IsabellaStewartGardner are both amazing! Check them out! #Museumsaremyhappyplace

Will Forever love the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. I was lucky enough to visit during the Raqib Shaw exhibit as well.
So much inspiration every time I visit.
