Swingin' and a-gruvin' into Friday with another fine James Moody album I picked up last weekend. This sounds wonderful, recorded in Nola's Penthouse in 1964 with Thad Jones on trumpet, Reggie Workman on bass, Albert Heath on drums and one Patti Brown on piano. And on at least one track, she plays organ as the band kicks into a hard soul-jazz groove on "If You Grin (You're In). Another keeper from this under appreciated (meaning: you can still find these albums cheap) multi-instrumentalist...
