OMG... unexpected! 😂🤣 I really liked this super extended epilogue. It all went by quickly with plenty of laughs and other feels along the way. There is a bonus scene, A Wicked Anniversary, that is also out there, but it's not included here. It's sweet, cute, swoony, and hot. Make sure to read it. I borrowed the audio book. The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden, continue to deliver a good performance for these characters. I do wish this was in duet narration. (Book review) >“The second chance at a first ending.”< ... And we're back. When I first read this trilogy, I read straight through books 2 & 3, not breaking between books to review each separately. This time, I stopped for a few minutes, and I have to admit that this as a single book instead of a trilogy would've been preferred. My number one reason is that it reads fast and easy, and breaking it up seems unnecessary. But, hey, that's just my two cents. I mean, I still enjoyed it regardless of the breaks. Jax Jamieson and Haley "Hales" Telfer are destined, even if the stars don't always align. I like that a couple of years have passed, and a few things did and didn't happen during that time. (Note: for some, it might upset for (view spoiler)) -- Book quote 'Haley Cross may have lasted two years at Wicked… But she won’t last an hour with me.' -- Jax Jamieson My favorite part is probably when she literally left him hanging. I revisited that scene a couple of times, enjoying it more each time. 🔵🔵🤣 Seeing Annie and Jax click is probably my second favorite part. 🤗 There's a lot packed into this, but it really does pass quickly. Maybe too quickly, as I wanted more of them as a couple navigating the challenges with parenting a teenager, bypassing the craptastic leadership at Wicked, and more. I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden, continue to deliver a good performance for these characters. Story: 4.5 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H = 30s?; h = 24

These two are >built< for drama. 😄 -- Book quote 'If she didn’t care, she wouldn’t be holding in so much hurt. As much as he hated knowing he’d caused that pain, he hoped to work their way through it.' -- Braden Prescott I do like his protective streak, even though he may overdo it a bit. And she's got walls, heck, they both do, that are sky high. I like how they seem to slowly realize that what they had before was something and involved strong feelings, but until those walls started coming down, neither truly knew the other. I love and can relate to the foster child aspects. A lot of it is representative of my own experiences. Sadly, hers is one of the better scenarios as far as crappy hands go. That is in no way to say that the situation was great, but she got lucky with her last family. As much as I like their story, this ended up being more of Aurora's story by the time we reached the last third or so of the book. I absolutely love how Willow, Braden, and the rest of the Prescott family took her in and looked out for her, but I think her parentage and other relations overshadowed Braden and Willow's reunion. I listened to this as part of the 'Dare Nation Series' audio book collection. The narrators are Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, both of whom I like. I love that we get two narrators for this series. Of course, I now want to go the next step and have them in duet, but I'll settle for this. 😘 🎧🩷🎧 Story: 4 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x
