The brickworks were situated just off what is now Cleveden road (but was then Crossloan Road) at its junction with Burlington Avenue. After the brickworks closed, this area first became the Western Hockey Club grounds and then, by the end of 1930s, housing.

A Kelvinside brick found beside the River Kelvin in Glasgow. It was produced by the Kelvibside Brick Company at the Dawsholm Brickworks in Kelvindale which was in operation between the 1870s and 1930.
