A path in what is a marshy meadow on a dune system with a lpt of wildlife if you look down. Top left quarter is a small pond, this will dry up as summer progresses. This will be full of orchids soon, there are out but not easy to pick out here.
Everything is starting to wake up now. That body of water will disappear in the summer, the whole area is like that. Some winters it is flooded a lot, others not so.

A batch of eggs from the moth Orgyia antiqua, also known as the Rusty Tussock or Vapourer. Cymraeg: Siobyn. Seen today at Kenfig National Nature Reserve in Wales. The eggs are laid on the cocoon that the flightless female adult emerged from.
I was very surprised to find these eggs of Orgyia antiqua, aka Rusty Tussock, Vapourer Moth or Siobyn at #Kenfig NNR today. I must have walked past them dozens of times.
