'The women just want to play footy': Premier backs shunned country club A former football administrator has criticised AFL Victoria's decision not to allow a club to join a women-only league in Central Victoria.

This #Kyneton women’s Aussie Rules side have been rejected from joining two leagues ahead of the 2026 season and will have no league to play in when Round 1 starts.

(They’re the Wedge-Tailed Eagles. Nickname? The Wedgies!!!)
