My nephew, a small boy with blond hair, lies on his front on top of a red narrowboat, his chin is resting on his hands and his face and shoulders are reflected in the shiny red paint of the boat's roof. The boat is passing under a bridge, and in the background it's the canal, a stone building with white frames windows top the left, and a church spire rises behind stone houses to the right. My sister, wearing sunglasses, and her ex-cnut-husband are at the rear of the boat.

A majestic sycamore tree on the bank of the canal, is reflected back in the water beneath a bright blue sky. The shape of the tree plus it's reflection are reminiscent of the shape of human lungs, which is a perfect metaphor for its function.

Couple of late entries for this week's #BlueSkyArtShow after I spent far too long reviewing all of my pics with #Reflections in them last night 🤦🏼‍♀️😅 Both on the #LeedsAndLiverpoolCanal in #Yorkshire. One is my nephew, the other is a tree +reflection in the shape of lungs 💚
