Even though his actions appear cold, there is a definite context in which his motives can’t show themselves openly - so I can still sense his warmer, more protective intentions despite the appearance of coldness
It’s very good, although also quite flawed. (If you like the chemistry in #LegendOfShenLi then you’ll be 🔥🔥 about them in #PrincessAgents.) Unfortunately, it kind of just stops without a proper ending. #Rebirth is a continuation/do-over of sorts.

I finished #LegendofShenLi last night! I kind of expected a HE and was not disappointed. Overall this was a super entertaining #xianxia #cdrama with excellent ML/FL chemistry and acting. There're some unconvincing plot points, but the humor parts made up for it.

I’ve heard others mention his smirk - but it’s just his face. If you’ve seen him in #LegendofShenLi he’s got a slight smirk there too, but it’s just the shape of his mouth. In his character I can see how the slight smirk actually suits him, because he is a serious person but also hiding secrets
Also I like dramas with grownup actors - rather than always the new hot young things (although I do like them too!) - and actors who can seriously act. They’ve had enough time to hone their craft. #LegendOfShenLi
#LegendOfShenLi was a fave last year for me too. I like how you describe it as a relationship drama within a xianxia setting. I think that’s a lovely, succinct way of explaining it.

Best actress: Although not the most nuanced or versatile actress this year, it was great to see Wu Jinyan back in a strong, Yanxi-like role (in #TheDouble). I also loved Wang Churan in #AreYoutheOne, Zhou Yu Tong in #WillLoveinSpring, and Zhao Liying in #LegendofShenLi
