People often overlook that manufacturing wasn't outsourced overseas solely due to cheaper labor; it was relocated because the pollution was harming Americans. If manufacturing returns, we must eliminate the monitoring of its health and environmental consequences.

But Breanna's point about preserving and *remembering* the history of "one of the most appalling environmental tragedies in American history" (as found on the EPA website as of 1/30/25) stands. If National Parks (and NPS sites in general) should protect the environment, then #LoveCanal is a warning.

To be fair, someone else did mention creating a unit that encompasses Niagara Falls and maybe is an International Park, crossing borders like Glacier does.
Today I learned, while researching Love Canal, that the chemicals that caused this environmental disaster were from a company that helped produce chemicals for the Manhattan Project.
