This is a 4-cent United States postage stamp featuring a bust of Martha Washington, the wife of George Washington. The stamp is a deep shade of reddish-brown and is in fair condition with a few dark ink marks on the face. It has a classic design with a very ornate border and a large circular design around the face. The stamp has an oval-shaped inscription around the top and left of the bust reading "UNITED STATES POSTAGE". Below the bust centered below the face is the wording "MARTHA WASHINGTON" within an ornament. It has a numeral "4" in a circle on the left and right of the bust. The stamp is old and has a gummed back and paper with a papery feel. The stamp is in good condition. The edges are not torn. All of the details are intact.
