There were eight lead candidates at the #MaastrichtDebate, but unfortunately only a few tens of thousands of viewers. The debate did provide some interesting insights on the candidates’ positions, but challenges remain.

Die Spitzenkandidatendebatte in Maastricht versammelte acht Kandidat:innen, aber nur einige zehntausend Zuschauer:innen. Inhaltlich lieferte sie durchaus wichtige Erkenntnisse. Gleichzeitig bleiben Herausforderungen.

Bei der #MaastrichtDebate erteilt Ursula #VonDerLeyen einer Kooperation mit den EKR-Parteien eindeutig keine (!) Absage. Die überlegen derweil wohl die Truppe von Viktor #Orbán aufzunehmen (s.u.). Nach der #Europawahl2024 droht eine Allianz von (Mitte-)Rechts bis ganz zum rechten Rand!
Typisch deutsche Nabelschau: über #HartAberFair streiten, wo über einen Mann der 90er debattiert wird, während die #MaastrichtDebate, bei der es um die Zukunft Europas geht, weitgehend ignoriert wird. 🙄
Bei der #MaastrichtDebate spricht EVP-Kandidatin Ursula von der Leyen es klar aus: keine (!) Absage an eine Kooperation mit europäischen Rechtsaußenparteien wie u.a. den Fratelli d’Italia aus #Italien, PiS aus Polen und VOX aus Spanien nach der #Europawahl2024. Krass!
