The March for Clean Water. Over 130 organisations came together to call on the Government for further action on protecting Britain’s rivers.
#marchforcleanwater
#thameswater continued to charge customers for works that never happened, without fulling disclosing to Ofwat.
Even with all the public focus on sewage spills and the company's approaching bankruptcy, the madness continued. Quite unbelievable.

🌊 "End the sh*t show" #marchforcleanwater
Last month we took to the streets of London alongside thousands of protestors to hold the UK government accountable for the appalling state of Britain's waterways 👇
More pollution art.
Again, strange how beauty can be derived from tragedy.
This looks a bit like stars from a distance.. 🤔
Best to keep your distance when Thames Water has been at your river!

River #pollution: only political will and deep pockets will solve the problem.
Recent heavy rain has brought the discharge of raw sewage into our rivers and waterways back into sharp focus #MarchForCleanWater @RiverActionUK

“Privatisation has failed because there is no market in water. It should be seen as a public good, not something for somebody to make a profit from.”
Well said Chrissie, couldn’t agree more.

Shayan wants #water back in public hands - like in #Scotland. 🏴
Do you agree? 🤔

Three weeks ago, 15,000 of us joined the #marchforcleanwater to protest the shocking state of the UK's waterways, which affects all of us. No response from the media.
10,000 toffs and serfs march to protect the rich and it's all over the news.
I wish Lewis et al had given as much coverage to our #MarchForCleanWater a couple of weeks ago. 15,000 people went to that in disgust at the #SewageScandal
The Metropolitan Police estimate around 10,000 people took part in the protest to Whitehall today.
Shame the MSM didn’t cover the #RestoreNatureNow or the #MarchForCleanWater with the same zealousness 🙄
Where were you
@bbcnews-world-rss.bsky.social
for the #MarchforNature or the #marchforcleanwater? Many more people were there then farmers today, but wasn’t headline news. These issues affect us all not just some farmers.

No river in England or Northern Ireland is in good overall health. We joined river creatures and human friends from across the country protesting about the state of our rivers and seas.

'I want to give a message to the #government that they really need to sort out the problems with our lakes and rivers and beaches. It's this man's job (Keir_Starmer) and I hope he'll start today,' says Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at the #MARCHFORCLEANWATER

What a turnout for @MarchforWater 💜 I truly hope @teamlabouruk.bsky.social are listening and act! We have the laws just implement them and no our water bills shouldn’t go up, water companies have taken billions! #MarchForCleanWater

And a few shots from the #MarchForCleanWater a few days ago in central London. We should not have to accept awful water quality, pollution of the waterways and coastal waters. This matters, out environment matters. The next generation deserves better.
We’ve had some lovely comments about our stunning new TMC banner that had its first outing at the #MarchForCleanWater Designed by fellow Mudlark Mark Sowden & illustrating why the Thames is so important to us & what it gives us - history, harmony, heart, hope, sanctuary, stillness, solace & space.
