Hey @comfyspice.bsky.social! Are we doing a 2026 version of #MarchThroughYourStash?? I’ve got both yarn and fabric stashes staring at me saying yes… What do #KnitSky and #SewSky think?

Today I told my friend about #MarchThroughYourStash and she said, “But March is just one month?”

We were standing in a museum shop at the time, so then I bought a book.

Last month I did a fabric destash during #MarchThroughYourStash. Today I was able to donate some yardage for other sewists to enjoy at a local deadstock fabric store. Embracing the #recycle theme for #SewskyEarthMonthChallenge and keeping textiles out of the landfill - fabric is not waste! #sewsky

My #MarchThroughYourStash project became my April #sewsky Upcycle project.
Some new details (machine flower embroidery on pockets) and revisions (adding back original Lucky pockets in cargo position).

OK, I'm a bit late, but I finished my #olleahblouse by @ora-lin.bsky.social for #MarchThroughYourStash. This pattern was part of a sew 'n show and this linen has been in my stash for ages. It was the perfect combo & I'm stoked with how it turned out.

They're quick to run up and handy for small storage.

Last hurrah for #MarchThroughYourStash donated at least 3 yds of fabric for ASG charity sew summer shorts for kids. Group made 20 pr total.

Finished a week ago and photographed just in time for the end of #MarchThroughYourStash is the Smooth Sailing blouse from Wearing History in a plaid cotton that has been in my stash for a few years, and buttons that have been there even longer! #GarmentSewing

I made two pairs of trousers in March. One hasn't been photographed. It was from fabric I bought in February but I'm not counting it as #MarchThroughYourStash. These, on the other hand, I bought the fabric for last year. Made for Mermaids Alani Bottoms but I tapered the leg. #garmentsewing #sewing

Hopefully it's not too wonky. Solo hemming you own stuff is tricky.

It's 7am on a Saturday and I am hand stitching a waistband facing because fuck it, that's why.

Anyway, when hand sewing I mark the stitch gauge on my thumbnail with a pen to help keep it even.

An inside out half of the waistbelt in blue floral print fabric, slung on a pale blue green cutting mat over paper instructions.

The inside out belt, partially threaded over a wooden chopstick.

So this half of the waistbelt is stitched and the seam has been pressed and graded down to about 1/8". I'm going to turn it right side out with my turning tool of choice which is a chopstick.

Chopsticks make the best turning tools, I will die on this hill.

Back on my BS for #MarchThroughYourStash with my #ClosetCorePatterns Elodie Wrap Dress. I've made the bodice and the skirt, and today I'm working on the waist belt.
