Time for some #BattleTech #Mechposting now that I finally got this one done.
A new Linebacker sculpt, big blocky lad like a Mad Cat decided to lift weights and drop the missile ears, painted stark white except for a Mexican Eagle on the top of its center torso in shades of brown as it bites a low-saturation green snake. This is hard to do when the whole Eagle is maybe 8 to 9 mm tall.

Forward-port quarter view of a Warrior H7 Attack VTOL mini. It's a helicopter with coaxial counter-rotating rotors, a ducted fan in the rear. The hull is overall blue with something reddish painted on the side; rotors are black with yellow tips.
Port side of the same, with a better view of the reddish thing--it looks like a guy yelling as his right ear fades off into blue space, with hints of stars and planets.
Starboard side of same, mostly just blue with "21C" free-handed in white on the fuselage below the rudder.
The album art to _In The Court of the Crimson King_, depicting the eponymous character of the first track, "21st Century Schizoid Man". It's a watercolor painting of a reddish face distorted in a terrified scream of the kind where you can see right down their throat, bulging eyes looking off to the side where their ear is melting gelatinously into a blue background with red orbs or planets hanging in the void.

I was inspired to paint my Warrior attack helos after Vietnam War-era songs because I am in some ways the most basic of bitches.
Head-on view of a CGL-sculpt Locust IIC Clan BattleMech miniature. It's an attack-helicopter box with big cheeky chines on top of two goony-bird chicken walker legs and hunching shoulders that connect to tall, thin trapezoidal pod arms. On the centerline between the shoulders is a turret with a gun on the front end and a big blade antenna sticking out the back at an angle. This miniature is painted a bright green with light green highlights and a pretty extensive black wash that makes it look pretty dirty. The aforementioned cheeky chines on the torso, shoulder pads, and flash along the legs are coated in a sparkly red-green colorshift paint. The fronts of the arm-boxes and the ankles are painted silver.
Side view of the same, showing how the outsides of the hips and the upper halves of the box launchers have that colorshift paint on them. The colorshift effect is more apparent from this photograph; the cheeks and arm boxes have bits of green in them while the hips are a deep, dark red.

Remember, kids, fake play war is always better than real bloody war and so that's why while I may decry my past in the military-industrial complex I'll still do my #BattleTech #MechPosting with aplomb.

A CGL-sculpt Assassin, a lanky hunched-over guy of a 'Mech. This one has a white center torso with blue cockpit glass. On either side of the center torso are stripes of color that resemble suspenders, dark blue on the left torso and purple on the right torso. These colors extend down to the sides of the boxy missile launchers on the 'Mech's waist. Past these on the side torsos, arms, and legs the 'Mech is light grey. The lower extremities of the arms have slanted dark grey flash covering the left fist like a glove and the right medium laser barrel like uhhhh a slanted cover thing.

Forward-quarter view of a CGL-sculpt Scorpion BattleMech, which looks kind of like a flat tank destroyer with a starboard-offset main gun mounted far back on an extremely sloped forward hull and cylindrical rocket launcher mounted high on the aft hull... and four legs sticking out then down, like a crab. It is overall white with random light grey, dark grey, light brown, and dark brown rectangles layered all over it. Metallic bits, like the face of the launcher and cooling vents, are a brassy color.

Front of a good ol' CGL-sculpt Fire Moth/Dasher miniature, the variant with more lasers than God. Its overall attack-helicopter aesthetic is painted with large pinkish-purple blobs over a desaturated yellowy bone-white base with turquoise streaks overall like a sparse flektarn pattern. The laser barrels are tipped in brass.
Back of the same. Some back-end laser gubbins and vents are also done in brass. In the out-of-focus background, my husband's work-in-progress 'Mechs can be seen.
