American Psycho is the Best of all time for K. Cook & Cats, Co. I suppose it’s subject to change, but for about twenty years now, it hasn’t 😅
I love being a sneaky, dark-horse contrarian, and not that many people remember or have heard of this, prob my 2nd favorite film of all time, and one that is special. This is an easy decision bc it’s the only film Tom Stoppard ever wrote AND directed, and it’s pretty intensely unique (or was; it’s been copied and homaged, since). This is an easy choice for me, though I could name you so many great scripts that I love. That’s what I’m always looking the closest at, because that’s the only part I’m truly an expert/authority on. The rest of film criticism and filmmaking I pick up from being an avid reader of others, with different backgrounds and professional experiences 🤓
That’s what I’m sure of, to the extent I’m sure.
The rest are like… I’ve seen #films with good & bad editing, but I’ve pondered it, & nothing springs to mind as an obv “best of all time” candidate.
Idk maybe #Memento? The genius of that is kind of in the script/direction more than #editing 🤔
