A special night as always under the #MeninGate for the @lastpostieper ceremony. Every one special, every one different in its own way. Tonight our group became a part of the history of the gate as a wreath was laid on behalf of the Regimental Ass of Ulster Defence Regiment.
A special afternoon with the group today as we paid respects to relatives of friends of the group as well as Maj Redmond, Pte John Meeke, and a visit to #StGeorges Church to end the afternoon. Tonight a member of the group is laying a wreath at the #MeninGate ceremony.
In early 2023, the monument was closed for extensive restoration works. Since spring 2025 the memorial is fully open again to the public.

The Lions temporarily returned to their original home in Ypres between April and November 2017 to coincide with the centenary of the Third Battle of Ypres. It was during this trip that the Australian government presented the city of Ypres with exact replicas of the Lions, one of which you can see in this picture.
