Saw #MissingInAction2TheBeginning. It’s a shitty #VietnamWar POW action movie - but unlike the previous movie, this prequel actually features some black soldiers. And of the two black characters in the film - OF COURSE one of them is a bootlicker. All the white prisoners retain their “honour”. Ⓐ

Since #MissingInAction2TheBeginning is less action oriented. Although there's enough to please the most ardent fans of 80s action films. But this battle of wills between Norris' Col. Braddock & Soon-Tek Oh's camp commandant is definitely geared more towards POW exploitation. 📽️🎞️

Released #OnThisDay 40 years ago. Prequel/sequel that was originally suppose to be released FIRST out of the two movies filmed back-to-back. Definitely the right decision from Golan-Globus since Mission in Action is more entertaining one of the two. #MissingInAction2TheBeginning 📽️🎞️
#MissingInAction2TheBeginning: Prequel to first MIA film finds Braddock (Norris) & unit as POWs held captive in country for 10yrs. This is VERY good - much darker, bleaker than I recall. First 2 acts almost all pathos, 3rd act delivers usual Cannon exaggerated combat action because hey it's Norris.
