Spring is trying to arrive and will do so in fits and spurts through the upcoming seven days.

There is a slight chance of showers tomorrow afternoon, then again on Thursday, then a warm washout for the weekend.

Interesting the latest Ice Out date was in 2018, when that's when we had 100 degrees on Memorial Day. #mnwx

It will be a warmer Tuesday night in the Northland thanks to mostly cloudy skies and a light southerly wind with low temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s. A storm system will bring breezy winds and plenty of showers Wednesday with highs in the 40s and 50s. Most of the showers will be rain, but some snow and sleet could mix in north of highways 169 and 1.

April opened on the cool side, but we’re seeing more above‑average days as we head toward the weekend. Just a heads‑up: even though Sunday looks like the warmest day, weekend rain showers may cut into outdoor plans #WeatherLoon #mnwx

Minnesota's reluctant spring brings milder temperatures ahead Spring is a slow process in Minnesota this year. Midler south with some snow north Wednesday.

Wednesday starts much milder than Tuesday did as we find ourselves in the warm regime of our next system. Scattered showers are possible this evening through Wednesday with Northern MN seeing the chance for a light glaze of ice and up to 1" of snow. #WeatherLoon #mnwx
