You know how repeating a word makes it lose meaning and seem nonsensical? That's how I feel about color after trying to explore it. "What is turquoise and teal?" I don't know. But here's the quilt I came up with.

2 10-12 inch blocks feature a large white star surrounded by pieces of color making up a rainbow going counterclockwise around the star.
I made these back before the pandemic started when I was teaching myself how to do paper piecing. I think my latest plan for them is to turn them into a pride table runner. We shall see. It’s only been like 8 years. :-)

I keep calling this my "Rock Quilt" in my head. I assigned myself a design challenge to use: (1) a non preferred color palette; (2) larger scale shapes; and (3) improvise curves. It's about 60"x70", but feels like a little sketch.
