We're in a small venue in which a game of 9-ball pool is being played in the centre. Around three sides there is tiered seating, not too high, and our view is from the front row on one side. It's quite dark in here around the edges as the lights from above illuminate the central section where the players and referee is, but we can just see a high balcony opposite us where more people are sat over more spotlights. The pool table is to the left, only half-visible, and with a white ball near the corner nearest us. It's a doubles game of pool. Near us one man in a maroon top sits down, facing the table, while another is stood next to him in the process of picking up or putting down his cue. The two opposing players in the other corner directly across from us wear blue and appear to be a talking. A referee in black and white striped shirt stands between the two teams facing forward, her hands behind her back.
For #ThrowbackThursday here's our visit to watch the #MosconiCup tournament at York Hall, London in 2002. It was broadcast live and our seats for this session meant we were on TV a lot as family pointed out afterwards.
