The work to begin the process of retrieving the remains of 796 children that were placed in a disused sewage system in the #MotherAndBabyHome in #Tuam is very welcomed although it should have been done years ago.
However, #BESSBORO has 859 missing children. Where is their Investigation? 1/3

The interview then went on to discuss modern day adoptions.
#motherandbabyhome adoption’s & modern day adoptions are 2 totally different issues, both topics should not have been in the 1 interview.

It was the mid 90’s, just shy of only 30 years ago & sending an unmarried pregnant young woman to a #MotherandBabyHome was still a real threat.
I was born in #Bessboro, my mother threatened to send me back to where I was born!

4 years ago the Govt in the High Court acknowledged that 8 women who gave evidence to the #MotherAndBabyHome Commission of Investigation had been treated unlawfully.
There were parts of the Report that didn’t represent the lived experiences&other parts had been incorrectly 1/6

I advocate for survivors of #CSA, I was abused by my grandfather from the age of 8 until I became pregnant & miscarried at 12.
I also advocate for the remaining #Bessborough #MotherandbabyHome grounds to be preserved.

The process of applying for the #MotherandBabyHome #Redress scheme is disgraceful.
For the state to treat survivors with such contempt is nothing new, the State holds all relevant records yet survivors have to prove length of stay.
No other section of society has been treated with such disdain!!

My reason for not voting Greens had nothing to do with climate change, Roderic O’Gorman’s #MotherandBabyHome #Redress scheme is discriminatory, excludes 24,000 & those that do qualify have to sign a waiver before funds are distributed to them. & the #birthinfo does not provide the promised service
